will remove the redshirt from Jay Hayes, Kelly said. “It was a difficult decision.” Will play a minimum of 30 plays.

Kelly hopes to get Hayes around 100 reps by the end of the season to justify burning the redshirt.

Kelly said Bonner and Williams have not been close to having their redshirt burned. Hayes was always closer to playing than them.

BK said Zaire probably had his best week of practice this week. “I didn’t have to wake him up today after Chipotle” in the QB meeting.

Kelly says Cody Riggs (foot) fared a bit better this week. Should see a little more action this weekend than he did last.

Kelly said Elijah Shumate is not hurt. Appears to be behind the other four safeties right now.
