Virginia defeats Harvard 76-27 to improve to 11-0 for the first time since 1992-93. ‘Hoos host Davidson on Dec. 30.

We set an ACC record today for single-game FG% defense by limiting Harvard to just 16% (8-50) shooting.

Bennett on Malcolm: He has taken it on himself to be better defensively this year. He is like a roadblock when set. He continues to improve.

Bennett: You need to score in different ways. The strong guards can usually get in the lane and get those extra points.

Bennett on Tobey: He picked up a foul so we took him out. We saw some foul trouble with the big guys, but he had a great run.

. this is why I say Tony Bennett is the new Brad Stevens. Best defensive coach in America.

Absurd stats aside, Virginia’s beatdown of Harvard shows it’s time to recognize the Cavaliers as a legit contender

The lead is 39-8 at the half, setting a school record for fewest points allowed in the 1st half (shot clock era).

We also limited Harvard to one FG (20 attempts), tying an NCAA record for fewest FG’s allowed in a half.
