Hello, my name is Christianna Carr. I am a Sophomore and recently just transferred from Eden Prairie High School to Minnetonka High School. I am really excited to start getting involved with all the girls at Minnetonka and hopefully have a chance to win a state title. I was asked to write this so people can get to know a little bit more about me and my journey as I go through being a student athlete and college recruitment.

I started my basketball career 3 years ago, growing up being an NBA players daughter you would think I started a lot earlier. I played volleyball and I was a dancer before I decided to pick up a basketball. Once I got my first offer from the University of Minnesota I took my workouts to a whole different level to begin to separate myself as an athlete.
I was very blessed to be able to try out for the U16 USA Olympic team. My preparation was very hard and I feel like it prepared me well for the tryouts. I made it to he final cut with Katlyn Gilbert  >  /2018s-katlyn-gilbert-get-to-know-me-monthly-diary/                and I also met a lot of great people that I am still friends with now and made some great memories that I will carry with me. I am also ranked #5 in my class nationally and #1 regionally. July is one of my favorite months of the year because of AAU, it allowed me to travel with my great teammates and compete at a high level with 43 hoops. Also this summer I got a chance to play with the North Tartan Anika EYBL team and qualified for Nike Nationals.
As for myself, this whole summer really helped me put in place what I need to work on and helped me see where I am at compared to the best players in the country. It motivates me even more for next year and going to try out for the USA team again. I am very thankful for all the people that have supported me throughout this journey and for the people that will continue to support me.
Until next time….
