Athletic combo-guard with a scorer’s mentality; college-ready frame handles and passes in transition; triple-threat attack manufactures, delivers in traffic; stationary range at the arc.

Away from the court, Andi is very Impressive. She is Outgoing, easy to talk to… and a very Sincere, Unselfish and Responsible young lady with an infectious Smile. She is the caliber of young lady, that I find it easy to say that no matter how good she gets as a player, she will always be a far better person !  She has a 4.7 GPA  ( Blair runs on a 5.0 scale ).  Andi works with the boys basketball coach at Blair for his camp. She  is a part of the Book club & Perspectives club at school. ( Perspectives is a club where students in the Blair community talk about social injustice and things similar to that topic ). Her community service investments include : the Korean and Friends club ( is where students gather to learn more information about the Korean culture such as their life style, food, outfits etc ) & the  Do Stuff club ( is a club where they literally do stuff, like a recent trip to this bakery where they had about 50+ different flavors of pies ).

Andi is also a volunteer at the library on H.S. campus.

Hey y’all ! So it’s been about a month since I’ve last written, and quite a lot has happened. My birthday passed, it was on October 1st, and I finally turned 16 ! Y’all don’t understand how happy I was that day, it felt as if I’ve been 15 for 3 years. My birthday went really well, I had my first class of the day free so I was able to sleep in for a little bit. Also one of my bestest friends at Blair brought me cupcakes that were amazing. By the way if you wanna know the type it was a vanilla cupcake, chocolate frosting and rainbow sprinkles. Overall it was a great day, and I truly blessed to be able to live to see another year.

So just to give a little update on what I’ve been doing for preseason basketball. The team and I have a strength and conditioning coach named Katicia who works us out every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. She’s a great coach, even though her conditioning workouts can be a little brutal. After the workout I feel invincible. Also I really enjoy the lifts she has us do, they really help work almost all the muscles that we use for basketball and in our day to day lives. Usually after our workouts with Katicia some of my teammates and myself go down to the gym and get a couple of shots up before dinner starts. And I honestly I love how dedicated my high school team is this year, everyone is willing to put up extra shots or put in extra work in their free time. We’re all on the same page and have the same goal, which i love ! Then on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays is when we’re in the gym shooting, playing pick-up, doing drills etc. Our pickups are a lot more intense and competitive than they have been in the few years I’ve been at Blair. Honestly I love how much this team has grown, matured and dedicated themselves to having an outstanding season this year.

About two weeks ago I had my home visit with Coach Geno and Coach Marissa and it went really well. My mom, step-dad and grandpa were all there and it was a blast. I loved having the coaches visit, talking and having lunch with them. I also made them some homemade empanadas which coach said were delicious. After talking to the coaches that day I realized that I cannot wait to go to Connecticut and strive to not only become a better person on and off the court, but to help the team and others around me become better. Coming up next week, is UConn’s “First Night”, and I’m so excited to get back on campus to see all the girls and coaches! I feel as if it’s been forever since I’ve seen everyone, well not coach Geno and Marissa since I saw them not too long ago. I talked to Coach Shea yesterday night and she told me that they’re having a glow in the dark theme, so it should be pretty interesting. Last year was the first time I ever went to first night and it was amazing ! I got to hang out with Crystal Dangerfield ( 2016 UConn PG commit ). Megan Walker ( priority 2017 UConn target – #1 ranked player in class by espnW ) and De’janae Boykin ( current UConn freshman )during the whole visit. I’ll never forget during first night, they played a song and De’janae grabbed all of us and brought us to center court and we all danced together, which was fun and a little embarrassing. I cannot wait until I’m at Connecticut and can wear “UCONN” across my chest.
