2016 Combo Guard MYCHELLE JOHNSON chooses Middle Tennessee – Shares Why

Middle Tennessee State Head Coach Rick Insell and his staff were given reason to celebrate today.

5’7″ Combo Guard MYCHELLE JOHNSON from Huntington, WV ( ST. Joseph Central H.S. ) made her pledge to MTSU.  She chose the Blue Raiders over  College of Charleston, Belmont, Old Dominion & Marshall.

Proud to say that I have verbally committed to Middle Tennessee State University!

Mychelle gave Coach Bill a couple quotes as to why MTSU was the best fit for her :

"I chose Middle Tennessee because they have a great coaching staff"

"Middle Tennessee is a high energy program & I love it, my style of playing"

What I love about the school is that I know that after basketball, the opportunities they give me will insure that I will be successful in whatever I do “

Mychelle certainly comes from a basketball family.

Her older sister Mychael, is Sophomore Guard at the University of Notre Dame.

Her father Scott, is a well thought of Head Coach for her West Virginia Thunder AAU team.
